Knitting Criations’s Community Support

Knitting Criations is proud to provide community support to local organizations.

We provide community support the Somers Food Pantry. There’s a section of yarn that is donated in to the store that we sell for 25 cents a skein or $1.00 a bag. This money is donated to the food pantry. This is a great place to look if you only need a small amount of yarn or color for a project. We also accept drop off food for the pantry. Please make sure that it has not expired, and we’ll get it to them that week.

We also support the Somers Fire Department Golf Tournament each year. There is never enough money to go around, and they are a great organization that is helpful to everyone.

As a way to reach out to members of our community, we offer open knitting. People are welcome to come sit and knit with us, get support from each other, ask questions and learn. Our doors are open to anyone who wishes to join Tuesday through Friday from 10am to 5pm. Give us a call to find our more about our open knitting program.
